This was the final shoot before going on holidays or 3 weeks.
It was a last minute decision to go here as this spot needs rain and lots of it make it work.
We weren’t sure what we were going to get as the night before we could see on the radar that a storm was heading right for it, but how much water was it going to drop in there?
Well as you can see the storm delivered…..and with all of Sydney’s rain over the past month, this spot has been almost up to the tunnel top with water.
So much so that people take canoes etc in there and paddle about.
The tunnel itself was constructed in 1888 but due to operational issues, was by passed by a double line nearby in 1915.
It also was lost from view for many years until excavated one day and they found thus plus the original platform which is behind me.
As an added bonus they also have put up the old railway station sign as well.
To say I am happy with this hot is an understatement.
It means I have another one off the bucket list.
Anyway, enough of me carrying on…….enjoy!
