This weeks shot is from a place that most Sydneysiders would know of.
It lies just to the south of Sydney in the Royal National Park which is the third oldest National Park in the world after Bogd Khan Uul National Park in Mongolia and Yellowstone National Park in the USA.
Interestingly, a lot of information out there has Yellowstone as the oldest with the Royal National Park second.
It is a great place to visit and there is literally something for everyone.
When it was suggested that we shoot at Garie, I was a bit hesitant, mainly as my previous visit was a complete dud, but I was well and truly proven wrong on this shoot.
We had a decent swell along with an incoming tide so we had to be really careful.
It looks like I am quite close to the water but I was actually high and dry.
One of the features of Garie Beach are the little shack’s here. Only one way in and out and that is to walk and bring everything with you.
This is the reason why I wanted to put the shacks in the shot for that reason alone although the one on the right is a bit close to the edge of the shot.
I also like the longish exposure and that cloud which also produced some rain when we arrived there.
I am really happy with the result and would gladly go back if the conditions suit like in the shot.
Anyway, enough from me…..enjoy!
