I am not sure how I came across this location to shoot.
But it was result of a cloudy morning and we were shooting another location nearby, so the opportunity presented itself to shoot this cottage.
When we arrived it looked as though everything was locked up but we pushed on the gate and to our surprise…it opened!
As it turned out, whilst we were shooting people were walking through the grounds with their pets etc so this sort of calmed us knowing others did the same thing.
The church and the grounds in which this cottage site date back to 1848.
The church itself is a grand sandstone building and is behind me and sits on a rather large block of land along with its cemetery.
I don’t know if this is the original cottage but it does have the 1848 notice above its entrance.
Although it doesn’t look like it, this cottage is hard to shoot.
The main reason is the tree which I did want to include in the shot but to the right out of shot is a see through fence and so cars and houses etc could be seen.
All in all I think this has worked out well.
Anyway, enough from me…..enjoy!
