Hi All,

Some of you may remember the night shooting at Rouse Hill and how we managed to get it all wrong. If you missed it you can find it here:

Well we tried again and failed again! This time we had a full moon and no Milky Way, due to said full moon.

This was not good when it is early May and it is near midnight and it is at least a 90 minute drive home. Oddly enough though it wasn’t that cold despite the time of night.

I have taken shots of these silo’s many times before and since we were there we more or less decided to just get what we could anyway.

Given the cloud was actually moving along at a great speed, long exposures were the order of the day. This image is actually a 4 minute exposure and I think the full moon lights up the cloud and silo’s nicely as well as the star trails.

I did try and do even longer but the clouds were not as visible in the shot as this one.

Still, all things considered and the fact that the shot was taken near midnight but looks like midday, it came out okay.

Anyway, that’s enough from me……..enjoy!

Paul
