Hi All,

It’s interesting when you find stuff out on a place that you actually know.

It seems the councils around Lake Illawarra down Wollongong way have been replacing some of the aging jetties.

This particular one was in bad shape and had actually been closed off to the public for years.

We learned that it had been reopened but what we didn’t know was that the old jetty, which was made of wood was replaced with this structure. It was also interesting was that it had no railing like the old one and had the yellow material as the guide?

I must admit in this day and age that to not have a railing installed is an “interesting” decision. I did see another replaced jetty on the way home and it was built the same way.

We also had to work very quickly when we were shooting as the jetty is quite narrow as well but the other reason was the cloud……..it was there, like in this shot and within 20 minutes it was completely gone!

Still it also meant we got to breakfast quicker but I did walk away pretty happy with what I got.

Anyway, enough from me………enjoy!
